3G Eclipse - Ugliest Eclipse EVER

With the arrival of the 4G Eclipse, I have decided to tear apart the WORST generation of the Eclipse EVER apart, JUST FOR MY PURE ENJOYMENT! Try n' Stop me BBEEEIATCHES!!

Look at this SEXY beast! First off, notice the body..its damn near a straight line from front to back with the exception of the back bumper which arcs up. I drew a red line to illustrate just what I am talking about. The concept is GONE with the 3rd gen, no we can't possibly have the nice ground effect the 2nd AND 1st Gen eclipses had..NO get rid of it!

Now the green shows the the front end starts to arc upward, instead of downward like previous gens did. What the hell, what is the point of that other than to make the vehicle obnoxiously UGLY.

The navy blue circle indicates the awesome design team at Mitsubishi put those cool lines through the side of the car to improve aerodynamics...no no not really. Unlike the 2nd gen, the 3rd gen doors do not have a nice indentation on the sides, instead we get these nifty lines that do not flow with the vehicle style at all.

The back end isn't THAT bad, however it does have the appearance of a pissed off fish (for the brain dead, tails = eyes, license = mouth) if you really look at it. The only complaint I really have about the backend is that the bumper should go lower to the ground not higher, it would really improve the appearance if the vehicle I'd think. Fuck what I think though, Mitsubishi is doing so great in sales!

Another side view of the vehicle, look at those Rims..look familiar? Why yes they are the stock rims from the 2G Eclipse GSX! Awesome! Just thought I'd point that out.

The red circle, we see two extra holes, for MORE turn signals? YES! Wouldn't it look bad ass to have three blinkers on each side instead of one? Maybe the funny holes are there to match the funny lines on the side of the funny door.

Well aware this is not a stock interior, however I do believe the interiors are pretty well done in the 3rd gens..in fact its a little more comfortable in the back seats in the 3gs than that of the 2gs. The interior is modernized, I think it looks better than the 4gs scary interior. This is about the only part I feel Mitsubishi got right about this car.

The single biggest disappointment is the removal of the 4g63 in favor of a more economy natured V6, and the missing AWD version of the vehicle will not be found in the 3gs, all are FWD vehicles. While the V6 motor has upgrade potential turbo kits are few and far between, and generally very expensive.
