4th Generation Eclipse....What the Hell Happened?
If you are a DSM fan, you have been awaiting the release of the 4th generation eclipse..well I'm here to tell you it is NO DSM..and it looks as though the looks are getting worse and worse. Pictures You Ask?
Look out everyone! Its a SPACE SHIP from mars! No really..look at this hideous front end. The front end is WAAAY too round, sharing a similar look to that of a 2Ga Eclipse..only 3 times as hideous.
The headlights? I mean WTF? I for one think they are too god damn small for the vehicle, and need to be redesigned. The front end sits up too far from off the ground and its not EVEN as AGGRESSIVE looking as a freakin 3rd GEN..yes a 3rd GEN eclipse!
But wait theres more....
On a bright note the body is rounded off again, not so boxed like the 3rd generation eclipse was..but thats about the only plus side.
The Rims? Hell if you are going to do the car ugly at least throw on some decent looking rims, maybe some nice chrome 18s to make it look a little bit better.
The most annoying is simply the height of the vehicle..I mean look at that shit..the car is too high off the ground and I wish I had the clearance specifications..but I would be willing to bet that it is definitely sitting higher than a 2g eclipse.
Now we got a better view of the back end..once again my opinion is the vehicle is excessively round, like a space ship. On the plus side I believe the tail light and little 'wing' improves the look at the vehicle some, but still doesn't do the car justice.
Look at the back end of this bad boy. This is where the car looks fairly decent, however had the tail lights not have a altezza appearance they would look a lot like a 2000+ Celica. The back window is angled way too flat, its gotta suck looking out of that back window boy.
Now we are hitting the interior, good luck trying to swap out with a after market cd player, nice custom design..but I would imagine a PITA to swap with aftermarket. The controls don't look very modernized and look ridiculously big. You sure this is a 2006 vehicle?
Now on the plus side, the motor sounds tough..263HP/260 ft-lbs of torque. However, look at the engine compartment shows quickly that there is not much room for additions to this little beast.
Now a lovely photoshopped photo of the 4th generation eclipse shows it has potential in terms of appearance..in stock form however it leaves LOTS to be desired.
