=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= | W I N D O W S X P | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ERROR: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_DEVICE =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= One that I, unfortunately had experience with. This error generally comes from a corrupted file system, so if you can get into your Windows XP Setup and select Recovery Console follow the commands below: - chkdsk /f (where is the suspected corrupt drive) This *SHOULD* fix the damage done to the file system. If that doesn't work you get this error in the Windows Setup as well you will need to format. Wipe the dust from your Windows 98 bootdisk and use it to boot your machine. Use FDISK to delete a "non-dos partition", exit once it is deleted, reboot your machine and load setup. Reinstall Windows XP :( ############### ############### $#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$#$ -.######.- #$ T E X T S O U R C E .
