                      CHANGING YOUR CDKEY AFTER XP IS INSTALLED


This will teach you how to re-activate windows so you can change your cdkey.

First you will need to change a registry value...
- click start, run.., type regedit
- head to the following key:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents
- modify the OOBETimer, change one digit, click ok
- close regedit

Now you need to run the activation screen:
- click start, run.., type in the following command:
  %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a
- now you will get the activation screen again
- click "yes, I want to telephone a customer service rep to activate
  windows"
- click change product key
- enter the new key and click update
- reboot your computer, and if needed install service pack 1.
