                          -/>DISABLE SERVICES CAUSING BOOT PROBLEMS</-

In Windows XP you can actually disable services through the recovery
console. This is useful in the event a service (bundled with a product)
has suddenly caused your computer to fail on boot. To do this:

- Boot from your Windows XP CD, When you get the option, press R to
  start the recovery console.
- Once in recovery console, go to your system32 folder (C:\Windows\System32)
- type in listsvc, your computer will now display services that run by
  default.
- type "disable <service>" where <service> is the service causing the
  problem. Type exit upon completion.
