WINDOWS XP WILL NO LONGER BOOT AFTER REMOVING
                     DUAL BOOTING WITH VISTA

This happens because Vista becomes the primary system commander to select
which operating system to boot. If you delete the Vista partition, you will
lose this as well. To fix this:
- boot with the Windows XP cd
- use the repair option within the setup to restore XP booting functionality

NOTE: You may have to reinstall some patches as well as reactive windows xp.
