If you have the following error when you use windows update, I have a solution
for you:
"Network policy settings prevent you from using Windows Update to download and
install updates on your computer. If you believe you have received this message
in error, please check with your system adminstrator."

To fix this:
- click start, run..
- type regedit, click ok
- head to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
  Policies\WindowsUpdate\
- look in the right pane for a value named DisableWindowsUpdateAccess,
  delete it.
- close and retry Windows Update.
