CLEAR PAST ITEMS IN NOTIFICATION (SYSTEM TRAY) AREA

This clears the history shown at the Notification "Customize" button on the 
taskbar properties. To access this:
- right-click empty space on the taskbar, select properties
- click Customize.. button under Notification Area
- Listed you will see "Past Items"


To clear this list do the following:
- click start, run..
- type in regedit, click ok
- go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
  TrayNotify
- delete the values labeled "IconStreams" and "PastIconsStream"
- close and reboot your machine
