USING WINDOWS XP REPAIR FUNCTION written by: paranoidxe email: paranoidtsi@hotmail.com Windows XP has a repair function in it's setup to replace and repair missing files for windows to run WITHOUT losing any configuration data. HOWEVER do NOTE that any system updates done since the orignal installation will have to be done all over again via Windows Update. To use Windows XP Repair: - insert your Windows XP CD, and boot from it - Press Enter to the welcome to setup screen - press F8 to license terms - Select your Windows XP installation, press R for 'repair' - Setup will begin to delete core xp files and then replace them with clean copies, allow the process to finish - once the repair process is complete, make sure you visit Windows Update to get all the latest updates that have now been overwritten by the orignal XP system files.
