KILL THE PLACES BAR

The places bar is the bar placed on the left side on every save/open dialog
you get within Windows XP. If you would prefer to revert back to the Windows
98 style of open/save dialog boxes do the following:
- click start, run..
- type in regedit, click ok
- go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
- create a new key under Policies named "Comdlg32"
- in the comdlg32 key, create a new dword value named "NoPlacesBar",
  give it the value of 1
- close regedit

Changes should be effective immediately.
