INSTALLING RECOVERY CONSOLE ON 2000/XP written by: paranoidxe date: July 2004 email: paranoidtsi@hotmail.com Recovery Console is a useful feature in the event you can not get into Windows, by default it is not a startup option. Using this guide you can make it a startup option which makes it much quicker to access then having to use the Windows CD. 1. Insert your Windows XP/2000 CD into your drive 2. go to start, run type in x:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons (where x is your cdrom drive) 3. click yes to install Now restarting your computer will reveal a new startup option called Recovery Console. :)
