              REMOVE ADD NEW PROGRAMS FROM ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS

I found this feature completely useless as most programs now automatically
run their setup anyway, and you can still access the setup through my 
computer if you happen to find one that doesn't automatically launch.

You can also access Windows Update through the start menu, so there is no
point to use add/remove programs to access it. So if you are like me and
you wish to remove this useless feature then do this:

- Open the registry (start, run.., regedit, ok)
- go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
  Uninstall
- create new DWORD value named NoAddPage
- give it the value of 1

Alternatively, if you are running Windows XP Professional you can use the 
group policy editor by doing the following:
- click start, run.., type gpedit.msc
- go to user configuration\adminstrative templates\control panel\add/remove
  programs
- double-click Hide Add New Programs Page
- click Enable
- click ok
