               Cannot Uninstall Plus Error:
                "This patch package could not be opened."

This occurs when a registry key gets corrupt, to fix this:
- open the registry using regedit
- go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Installer\Products\
- delete key "DFAD2CEE8555CA04E8C905508C8F018E"
- now go to add/remove programs
- select Microsoft Plus for XP and click Remove

Remove should continue normally and Plus will be removed.
