                                      -/>REMOVE COMPONENTS FROM SM</-

These are tweaks that remove various components off the start menu:

- open the registry
- head to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
  Policies\Explorer

REMOVE HELP - DWORD:NoSMHelp, give it a value of 1
REMOVE SEARCH - DWORD:NoFind, give it the value of 1
REMOVE MY DOCUMENTS - DWORD:NoSMMyDocs, give it the value of 1
REMOVE DOCUMENTS - DWORD:NoRecentDocsMenu, give it the value of 1
REMOVE RUN - DWORD:NoRun, give it the value of 1
REMOVE MY PICTURES - DWORD:NoSMMyPictures, give it the value of 1

You can also remove components of the start menu by, right-clicking on
an empty area of your taskbar, select properties.

 FOR XP START MENU
- click start menu tab, click customize..
- click advanced tab
- Click "Dont Display this Item" to the ITEMs you wish to NOT appear on
  your start menu.
- click ok twice

 FOR XP CLASSIC MENU
- click start menu tab, click customize..
- uncheck "Display <x>" where <x> is the component you wish to
  remove
- click ok twice
