DARK WATER NEEDS TO STAY IN THE DARK Part of the reason I didn't enjoy the film was probably the fact I had 2 couples that didn't know their role and shut the fuck up during the movie. No they had to keep on blabbing and laughing like a bunch of kindergarden children, hell kindergarden is a little to nice..anyway it affected my opinion of the movie somewhat, but the movie overall sucked anyway. - Well first off it was misrepresented as a horror movie based on the previews, I knew it wasn't going to be..but none the less they did it to draw people in, which is bullshit. - Way too closely follows The Ring Two, which was a shitty sequel to the orignal ring. Ghost Girl wanting a mommy? sound familiar? How about the girl drowning? Sound familiar? How about the ghost trying to kill the other girl so she could have a mom to herself? Sound familiar. Yeah, it sounds VERY familiar to me too. - Scenes were missing from the trailer, I don't remember ever seeing Dahlia (Connelly) in the "living" room with the water pooring down the walls? ghost hand reaching up from under the water? - The plot moves so god damn slow, and is pretty predictable..it doesn't even get exciting through the movie, the only part that was mildly entertaining is when Dahlia (Connelly) is taking to her "mother" in the room 10F. - The fact that the father is apparently working with the teen boys during the movie, but it is just completely ignored later. No explaination there. - No explaination as to why the mother would leave her daughter at the hotel. - No real insight on the life of Dahlia and her mother. - The fact that she tried to break the unbreakable glass, instead of just climbing over to save her without sacrificing herself. - She apparently never works, she just acts insane all day. Even though she got hired at the local radiology place. - There was no need for the girl to be angry, she was never murdered. She fell into the water tower on her own stupidity. Yeah, this movie sucked I really can't complain about the acting, but that was about the ONLY thing that was good about it. Not even worth a DVD rental. 2 out of 10
